Poem text
HOUSE OF THE MAN ATHIRST I am a desert sand, desert of thirst. Your mouth is the well where I sannot drink. Mouth, a well open To all sands of the desert. Water in the midst of a burning world. Your body, yours, Which is never ours. Body, blocked well-spring, By sun and sand consumed.
