Chromophone Band is a piece one minute and 56 seconds long,

written by Dudley Simpson and realised by Delia. It isn't a classic Delia moment by any means [...] it sounds rather end-of-pier [...] although a distinctive DD rhythm track redeems it somewhat.[1]

It was used as incidental music in the Doctor Who story The Macra Terror.

The notes to its tape catalogue entry read:[2]

2 reels of music by Dudley Simpson (realised at the Radiophonic Workshop) archived as TRW 604.
Reel 2 is labelled "Band Music" (Chromophone Band), duration 6.20, dated 23.2.67, realised by Delia Derbyshire.
