The “Delaware” EMS Synthi 100 was a very large model of the VCS3 analogue synthesiser, specially ordered by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
It was delivered in February 1971, was fully installed by April and cost £5,400.[1]
In 1973, with Brian Hodgson and Paddy Kingsland, Delia helped create a twangy new version of Doctor Who on it.
