The Plainsong Antiphon is a source recording used by Delia to create the echoed choral opening to Rorate Coeli, the second movement of Invention for Radio no.2, ''Amor Dei''.

"The original recording is labeled in the script for the work as "Plain Song Antiphon, unaccompanied"[1] and is credited as Plainsong Antiphon to "John Hahessy (boy soprano)" in the Radio Times entry for its first broadcast on 16-Nov-1964.

The book Special Sound discusses Delia's audio transformations of it for Rorate Coeli.
