Part of a newspaper article can be seen in ''Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson'' series 1 episode 4.
In it, Delia says "In the three years I have been here" (she joined the BBC in November 1960)
and ''[[Doctor Who]]'' was first broadcast on 23rd November 1963 which dates the article to 1964.

The room was full of oscillators, white noise generators and a solitary wobbulator.

Delia Derbyshire stretched out a hand, and flicked a knob. A tape faintly whirred
and from the three-speakered box came the metallic voice: "Destroy them. Immediately."

The Daleks had spoken.

This was the heart of the B.B.C.'s Radiophonic Workshop at Maida Vale, London.
