The &amp;amp;ldquo;[[Delaware]]&amp;amp;rdquo; [[EMS Synthi 100]] was a very large model of the [[VCS3]] analogue synthesiser, specially ordered by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It was delivered in February 1971, was fully installed by April and cost &amp;amp;pound;5,400.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;[[Special Sound]], p.113.&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In 1973, with [[Brian Hodgson]] and [[Paddy Kingsland]], Delia helped create [[Doctor Who#1973:_The_Tenth_Anniversary_&amp;quot;Delaware&amp;quot;_Version|a twangy new version of Doctor Who]] on it.&lt;br /&gt;
