Two trumpets, one silver and one copper, were recovered from Tutankhamun's burial chamber and on 16th April 1939 the BBC broadcast the sound of them being played after more than 3000 years' silence.[1][2]
Delia used the sound of the silver trumpet to create the pieces Tutankhamun's Egypt and Tutankhamun's Trumpet.
