An article Sound in Other Media appeared in The Wire magazine November 2008 (Issue 297), p.18 based on an interview with Dick Mills.

In the early years, he [Dick Mills] and Delia Derbyshire were the "soundsmiths", the others were "tunesmiths". "Delia was manipulating recorded sounds, but in a musical way," Mills explains. "I lent engineering support to her more musical creative talents."
