Two trumpets, one silver and one copper, were recovered from Tutankhamun's burial chamber and on 16th April 1939 the BBC broadcast, live, the trumpets being played
The source sound is from a 16th April 1939 BBC radio live broadcast[1] of King Tutankhamun's trumpets being played after more than 3000 years' silence.[2]
Delia used this sound of the silver trumpet to create the pieces Tutankhamun's Egypt and Tutankhamun's Trumpet.
