Delia makes a hit with Dr Who
Part of a newspaper article can be seen in Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson series 1 episode 4. In it, Delia says "In the three years I have been here" (she joined the BBC in November 1960) and Doctor Who was first broadcast on 23rd November 1963 which dates the article to 1964.

Delia makes a hit with `Dr. Who'
The room was full of oscillators, white noise generators and a solitary wobbulator.
Delia Derbyshire stretched out a hand, and flicked a knob. A tape faintly whirred and from the three-speakered box came the metallic voice: "Destroy them. Immediately."
The Daleks had spoken.
This was the heart of the B.B.C.'s Radiophonic Workshop at Maida Vale, London. Here in this almost wholly make scientific preserve works 27 years old Delia from Cedars Avenue, Coventry.
Looking up from a tape-deck, Delia said: "In the three years I have been here I suppose my most popular accomplishment was doing the electronic setting to Ron Grainer's theme music for `Dr. Who.'"
