Graham Harris knew Delia when they were both at school and in 2005 wrote Delia Derbyshire: A Personal Tribute for the delia-derbyshire.net web site.
At 14 years of age Delia was my first girlfriend, and I was probably her first boyfriend. Our families were well acquainted, and her father was affectionately known as 'Uncle Ted'. He was a great cricket fan and it was always a pleasure when the families got together. Once I took her to a performance of the 'Mikado'.[1]
