The &ldquo;[[Delaware]]&rdquo; [[EMS Synthi 100]] was a very large model of the [[VCS3]] analogue synthesiser, specially ordered by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.<br />

It was delivered in February 1971, was fully installed by April and cost &pound;5,400.<ref>[[Special Sound]], p.113.</ref><br />

In 1973, with [[Brian Hodgson]] and [[Paddy Kingsland]], Delia helped create [[Doctor Who#1973:_The_Tenth_Anniversary_"Delaware"_Version|a twangy new version of Doctor Who]] on it.<br />
