For the bass line of the second musical insert in Chronicle episode Pompeii, Delia used a slowed-down version of a clarinet.

Here it is, remade by taking the cleanest version of the bass line from the episode's sound track and applying a vicious low-pass filter at 1030Hz to remove the overlaid high plucked strings. The spectrogram runs from 30Hz to 960Hz.
