Out Of This World is a BBC record of sound effects for science fiction, subtitled Atmospheric Sounds and Effects from The BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
The tracks by Delia were taken from other compositions of hers and were renamed by the BBC for release on this album:[1]
- 17. Dreaming, originally composed for Travelling In Winter
- 31. Phantoms of Darkness, originally composed for Bagman
- 48. Heat Haze, originally composed for The Naked Sun
- 50. Frozen Waste, originally composed for The Naked Sun
- 51. Icy Peak, originally composed for The Naked Sun
"Out Of This World" was originally a television series of science fiction plays including one episode The Naked Sun for which Delia created music.
