Dreaming
Part of her music for Travelling In Winter was renamed "Dreaming" for issue on a BBC record of sound effects.[1]
Delia says she made it for her Aztec music:
a few years ago I heard my music on The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy. I wrote to the Producer who said 'Yeah, it's called Dreaming'. I've never done anything called that. They had picked out a piece which I wrote for a programme about the Aztec and Mayan civilisations. They put a new title on it and used it behind Peter Jones voice.[2]
but it was in 1976[3] that some of her music was renamed Dreaming and released on BBC record Out Of This World, but Delia started work on the Aztec suite in October 1968[4] and the programme was broadcast on 8th February 1969, unless the producer was mistaken about which of her music had been reused for the Guide. Fans, can you locate Dreaming or any of her Aztec music behind Peter Jones' voice in the HHGTTG?
