[Delia's pencilled notes:] Decide on best FX - analyse their pitches & rhythms - chord sequence Dear Desmond [crossed out], DD [pencilled in] 'THE LIVING WORLD'- Signature tune. I enclose a tape of some sample noises for Delia and hope they ill be useful. The quality of the copying I am afraid is indifferent owing to the fact that I was busy editing a transmission tape, and left this for someone else to do! However, I think even so it will be O.K. as a sample guide. I much enjoyed meeting you and Delia the other day, and look forward to hearing the first results of her efforts on 12th July, at 2.30 p.m. An important note from John Sparks - please not too ephemeral - he wants a 'neway' impact. This I dispute slightly but see his point. This is a new series with intended impact, so let's have a strong opening phrases or something to make people sit up and listen? Sincerely Robina Gyle-Thompson [penned signature] (Robina Gyle-Thompson) Producer, Natural History Unit H. H. Briscoe, Esq., Radio Production Services, 9, Maida Vale, LONDON.
