King Lear
From WikiDelia
Jump to navigationJump to searchThe draft of a Kaleidophon flyer for The Coloured Wall says that:
“[Kaleidophon] recently completed tracks for the forthcoming 'Royal Shakespeare Company' production of King Lear at Stratford-upon-Avon”[1]
The Coloured Wall opened on 26th March 1968, so the composition of King Lear shortly predates it, and the press night for the production was held on the 10th April 1968.[2]
The RSC web site says that it was directed by Trevor Nunn[3] and that “The battle in Act 5 [was] a slow-motion ballet, accompanied by deafening noise.”[4]
