A week after meeting David Vorhaus while giving a lecture at Morley College in London, Delia and Brian Hodgson moonlighted from the BBC to set up the Kaleidophon studio with David Vorhaus,[1] at which they produced two albums and some music for TV adverts.
It was at 56 Clarendon Road, London W.11 on 1st January 1968[2] and at 281-283 Camden High Street, London. N.W.1. from at least 15th February 1969[3] to 3rd September 1970.[4] Their phone number in Camden was GUL 6464.[5]
Kaleidophon produced two albums:
- The ESL104 album of sound effects
- An Electric Storm album
an electronic sound-track for the exhibit The Coloured Wall by Mr. M. Leonard at an Association of Electrical Engineers Exhibition
as well as music and effects for theatre productions:
- Tony Richardson's Hamlet at the Roundhouse[6]
- Medea, directed by David Thomson for the Greenwich Theatre[6]
- King Lear for the Royal Shakespeare Company[7]
- Macbeth (1971), directed by Ewan Hooper for the Greenwich Theatre[6]
and, with Brian,[8] composed and realised:

- Lure of the Space Goddess
